Men's Indoor Weekly Awards to MU's Cunningham and CU's DeVries
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) named Cortez Cunningham of Madonna and Josh DeVries of Cornerstone as its weekly award winners for men's indoor track and field. Cunningham ran to Track Athlete of the Week with a school-record time in the 200m at the Texas Tech Open. DeVries took Field Athlete of the Week after winning the pole vault at the GVSU Bill Clinger.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Cortez Cunningham, Madonna
(Sr. , Ypsilanti, Mich. ) - Finished fifth out of 102 athletes from multiple levels, including NCAA Division I and professional runners. Currently holds the second-fastest time in the NAIA in the men's 200-meter dash, also set a new school record.
