Hardy and Barthell named Athletes of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

WHAC SID's have selected Ben Hardy (Aquinas) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Davarri Barthell (Indiana Tech) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Hardy improved his personal best time in the mile with a time of 4:15.01. The mark was good for a 3rd place finish at the Bob Eubanks Open and an NAIA B Standard. Davarri Barthell wins the award for the second consecutive week thanks to his win in the long jump. His leap of 7.43m was also an NAIA A standard.
