Men's Outdoor Athletes of the Week to Haynes and Smith
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference named Esau Haynes of Indiana Tech and Scott Smith of Concordia as its Men's Outdoor Athletes of the Week. The duo were chosen based on their performances for the week ending April 3, 2023.
Haynes was named Track Athlete of the Week after hitting an A standard in both the 100m and 1x100m relay at the Marian University Knight Open. The sophmore finished first in the 10m out of 31 athletes and the relay team also took home gold.
Smith took field honors as he won the javelin at Bill Bippes Invitational and was 11th in the shot.
