Blacknell and Ojutalayo named MOTF Athletes of the Week
Deveyon Blacknell of Madonna and Jesunifemi Ojutalayo of Aquinas were named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Outdoor Athletes of the Week. The honors were awarded based on performances from April 17-23, 2023.
Blacknell took Track Athlete of the Week with a school-record time in the 100m at the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic. The senior ran a time of 10.26 win finish second in the event.
Ojutalayo was named Field Athlete of the Week after winning the long jump and the triple jump at the Al Owens Classic. The sophomore posted a mark of 7.35m in the long jump for the third-best in school history and then jumped 14.14m in the triple jump.
