First Day of Men's Outdoor Track & Field Complete

ADRIAN, Mich. - The first day of the 2023 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships saw seven individual champions crowned and a jam at the top of the team standings. 

Siena Heights scored 58 points to lead after Day 1 with Indiana Tech and Cornerstone right behind with 56 poitns and 55 points, respectively. Madonna (55) and Aquinas (35) are also within striking distance as the majority of the events will finish on Friday. Along with the seven events completed, a few preliminary heats were also ran. 

The Aquinas 4x800 relay team repeated as champions, finishing in a time of 7:40.96. Noah Cunningham of Siena Heights was also a repeat winner in the javelin. Events resume on Friday, May 5 with field events starting at noon and running events at 1:30 p.m.

The top three finishers in each event earn First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention All-Conference status based on their place.
