NAIA Announces Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships Qualifiers
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) - The NAIA released the rosters for the 2023 Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships May 24-26 in Marion, Ind.
Indiana Tech leads the WHAC with 15 entries while Cornerstone and Madonna each have seven. The conference has a storied history at nationals claiming four national crowns in the last 10 years. Indiana Tech won in 2013, 2014, and 2016 while Madonna tied for the top spot in 2021.
Several WHAC athletes enter the competition ranked in the top 8 spots in events. Indiana Tech's Ahumad Williams is seeded seventh in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.15. Both Warrior relay teams are expected to perform well as the 4x100 relay team has the third fastest time of 40.26 and the 4x400 relay team has the seventh-best at 3:14.08.
Cornerstone's Luke Pohl is the top seed in the 10,000m with the fastest time in the NAIA of 29:57.66 and teammate Colten Covington is fourth. CU's Josh DeVries is sixth in the pole vault with a height of 5.00m. Madonna's DeVeyon Blacknell sits at fourth in the 100m and sixth in the 200m. SHU's Noah Cunningham has the fifth fastest time in the 110m hurdles.
