Indiana Tech Wins Men's Volleyball Championship

SYLVANIA, Ohio - The 2023 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Volleyball Championship came down to the final set of the final day of the regular season as Indiana Tech defeated Lourdes 3-2 (21-25, 27-29, 25-21, 25-15, 15-11) to win its third consecutive championship. The two teams were tied with 15-2 WHAC records heading into the match after Lourdes defeated the Warriors the night before 3-1. The Gray Wolves took a two-set lead at home on the final day, but Indiana Tech battled back to force the fifth set before claiming the title.

Indiana Tech and Lourdes remain the only two teams to win a WHAC title. Lourdes won the inaugural championship in 2019 before COVID prematurely ended the season in 2020. The teams tied for the crown in 2021 and Indiana Tech won the title last year.

The top six teams now turn their attention to the WHAC Tournament that starts March 29.
