NAIA Men's Volleyball All-Americans feature two from WHAC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) - The NAIA announced its 2023 Men's Volleyball All-America Teams with two from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) named. Lourdes junior Eduardo Ayala (OH) was named to the second team and Lawrence Tech's Gustovo Heidrich (L) earned third team honors. Three teams of nine players were announced.

Ayala finished his junior season leading the Gray Wolves with 361 kills (4.10/set) while hitting .297. He also has tallied 174 digs (1.98/set) and 27 service aces. He was also involved in 24 blocks and handed out 15 assists. The outside hitter was named the WHAC Player of the Year for his performance.

Heidrich was the WHAC Libero of the Year and finished with 411 digs, the second-most in the NAIA. The defensive specialist also dished out 78 assists and had 26 serving aces.

It's the first All-American honor for both players.
