Men's Volleyball Weekly Awards to Goshen and Lourdes
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference named Hassan Hadzic of Goshen, and Gabriel Vianna and George Tsogtbaatar of Lourdes as its weekly award winners in men's volleyball.
Hadzic earned Attacker of the Week with 19 kills in a win against No. 12 St. Xavier (Ill.). The junior averaged 4.75 kills and 1.92 digs per set while added nine aces and 11 blocks.
Vianna was named Defender of the Week with double-digit digs in all three matches, including a season-high 20 against Mount Vernon Nazarene. He also had just two reception errors on the week.
Tsogtbaatar took Setter of the Week with 40+ assists in every match in an offense that hig .243 on the week. The freshman also tallied 21 digs and five blocks.
ATTACKER OF THE WEEK
Hasan Hadzic, Goshen
(Jr, MB - Kakanj, Bosnia and Herzegovina) - Hasan Hadzic had 19 kills in his season debut on Wednesday as Goshen took down #12 Saint Xavier in five sets. He averaged 4.75 kills and 1.92 digs per set this week and also totaled nine aces and 11 blocks.
