Broaster, Askoul and Voloch Named Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC Sports Information Directors have selected Ernest Broaster (Cornerstone) as the Attacker of the Week, Akram Askoul (Lawrence Tech) as the Defender of the Week and Patrick Voloch (Cornerstone) as the Setter of the Week. Broaster had 41 kills over a three-win week for Cornerstone including a season-high 20-kill match. This is his second player of the week honor this season. Lawrence Tech's Askoul won his first player of the week honor this season for his efforts in helping the Blue Devils win back-to-back games against ranked opponents. He had 13 total blocks and 18 total kills. Patrick Voloch also wins his first player of the week honors this week. Voloch had 100 assists (11.11 per set) along with 16 digs and six blocks.
