Stanley, Jagorin and Brownlee win Player of the Week Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, WHAC Sports Information Directors have selected Spencer Stanley (MVNU) as the Attacker of the Week, Kyi Jagorin (Cornerstone) as the Defender of the Week and Nathaniel Brownlee (Lawrence Tech) as the Setter of the Week. Stanley averaged 4.86 kills per set and had 34 total kills on .377 hitting. He also hit 1,000 career kills in the 2-0 weekend over Aquinas. Jagorin led the Cornerstone defense to a 3-0 week, compiling 23 digs. He also recorded four service aces and eight assists. Brownlee led Lawrence Tech to a 3-0 week with 10.36 assists per set. He totaled 114 assists including a school-record 61 in the win over Goshen.
