3/11 Men's Volleyball Players of the Week

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, WHAC Sports Information Directors have selected Hasan Hadzic (Goshen) as the Attacker of the Week,  Akram Askoul (Lawrence Tech) as the Defender of the Week and Igor Sapucaia (Goshen) as the Setter of the Week. Hadzic averaged more than five kills per set during the 2-0 week. He hit .350 and currently leads the NAIA in kills per set and total kills. Askoul wins his second Defender of the Week honor with 14 blocks and a 3-0 team record. Sapucaia averaged 11.63 assists per set and helped Goshen to a 2-0 record. He guided an offense that hit .402 against Trinity Christian and .343 against Aquinas.
