3/18 Men's Volleyball Players of the Week Announced
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
This week, WHAC Sports Information Directors have selected Eduardo Ayala (Lourdes) as the Attacker of the Week, Bruno Barac (Goshen) as the Defender of the Week and Joey Bianco (Lourdes) as the Setter of the Week. Ayala wins the award for the second time in three weeks. He helped Lourdes to a 2-0 week with WHAC wins over MVNU and Goshen in which he combined for 36 kills and hit .316. Teammate Joey Bianco orchestrated the Lourdes offense to hit .326 on the week and posted 96 assists in two matches. Goshen's Barac was a force at the net with 1 total blocks in two matches to go along with 10 digs.
