Lourdes' Ayala, CU's Broaster Named NAIA Men's Volleyball All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (NAIA Release) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2024 Men's Volleyball All-America Teams along with Player and Coach of the Year on Thursday.

The NAIA All-America Volleyball teams are selected by the NAIA-MVCA Executive Committee. The All-America Selection Committee must select players from a pool of candidates from the All-Conference/Independent Teams. Three teams of nine players were announced with Lourdes' Eduardo Ayala earning a spot on the third team to represent the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). This is his second All-American award, earning a spot on the second team in 2023. Joining Ayala on the third team is Cornerstone's Ernest Broaster. The WHAC Newcomer of the Year stormed on to the scene and helped the Golden Eagles to a second place finish in the regular season. He finished the season with 375 kills (4.41 k/s), 41 aces, a .355 hitting percentage and 58 total blocks.

Ayala helped Lourdes earn the top-seed at the WHAC tournament with the best record in the conference. He finished the season with 414 kills (4.40 k/s), hit .323, 140 digs and 29 total blocks. He earned WHAC Player of the Year honors for his efforts.
