Loudes' Speight Wins Final Wrestler of the Week Award

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Wrestler of the Week award, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

WHAC SID's have selected Lourdes' Will Speight (185 lbs) as the Wrestler of the Week. Speight won the 184 pound weight class at the WHAC Championships in Indianapolis last weekend and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament along with First Team All-Conference. He did so by going 3-0 with three bonus point wins (two tech falls, one major decision). This is his second Wrestler of the Week award this season.
