Chatman and Schlaud Named Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week
Maddy Chatman of Cornerstone and Maeson Schlaud of Madonna were named the weekly award winners in softball for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).
Chatman picked up Player of the Week hitting .600 with two home runs and seven batting in. The outfielder went 7-for-13 and scored six times as CU picked up four wins on the week.
Schlaud repeated as Pitcher of the Week by breaking Madonna's strikeout record with 19 in one game. The junior finished the week with a 0.66 ERA as she allowed 12 hits spread out in three games and recorded 29 total strikeouts.
