Indiana Tech Captures Softball Championship

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Indiana Tech claimed its first-ever Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Softball Championship by posting an 18-4 WHAC record for the 2023 season. The Warriors moved up from being picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll back in the fall. Tech had one back week during the season when all four of the losses came within an eight-day period in mid-April.

Concordia and UNOH tied for second with 16-6 league records and last year's champion Madonna ended in fourth at 15-7.

The top eight teams qualify for the WHAC Softball Tournament May 3-5 at Pacesetter Park in Sylvania, Ohio. As conference champion, Indiana Tech takes the top seed in the WHAC Tournament and claims the leagues first automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
