Lobdell to Take Over Cleary Softball Program

(Howell, MI) (Cleary Release) - James "Jamey Lobdell has been named the second head coach in Cleary University Softball history as announced by the University on July 13th. Lobdell is no stranger to Cleary, having served as an assistant coach for the Cougars during the 2022-23 season. Prior to Cleary, Lobdell was an assistant coach for seven seasons at NCAA D2 Saginaw Valley State. He also spent two seasons at NCAA D3 Olivet College in 2013 and 2014.

Lobdell will replace longtime head coach Tim Bailey who is stepping down after a nine-year tenure at the helm of the program. Despite stepping down as the head coach, Bailey plans to remain on staff as an assistant to Lobdell in 2023-24.
