UNOH Sweeps Weekly Softball Awards
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Softball Players of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.
WHAC SID's have selected Carlie Hanes (UNOH) as the Pitcher of the Week and Dani Keighley (UNOH) as the Player of the Week. Hanes tossed three-straight complete game shutouts in a busy week for the Racers. In total, she went 3-1, threw 23.2 innings allowing just four earned runs while striking out 29 and walking five. Her ERA for the week was 1.18. Teammate Dani Keighley wins her second-straight Player of the Week award and picked up right where she left off. She recorded a hit in seven-straight games with multiple hits in six. She led the team with 12 RBI while hitting .520 and slugging 1.000.
