UNOH Wins Women's Golf Championship

AUGUSTA, Mich. - (COMPLETE RESULTS) - Mother Nature wasn't kind at the 2023 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Womens' Golf Championship on Stonehedge North Course at Gull Lake View Resort. The event saw two weather delays and play suspended due to darkness before UNOH won its fourth championship with a score of 917 for +53.

The first round started an hour late due to frost and only half of the teams were able to finish both rounds before play was suspended for darkness. The second day also saw a frost delay and the golfers battled snow during different parts of the day.

UNOH placed three golfers in the top five led by individual medalist Zoe Wuermli, and another tied for sixth to win the event by 41 strokes. Wuermli carded a 224 for 8-over par in the unfavorable conditions.

Indiana Tech finished second, carding a 958 and Aquinas rounded out the top three with 999.

The championship also gives UNOH the leagues automatic berth to the 2023 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships 23-26 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
