Women's Golf Honors Released

AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its 2023 Women's Golf Honors in conjunction with the conference championship. UNOH won the championship played at Stonehedge Golf Club-North.

Zoe Wuermil of UNOH repeated as Golfer of the Year after she finished first at conference championship. Ebba Nordin of UNOH was named Newcomer of the Year with a fourth-place finish. All-Conference (first and second team) honors were selected by the lowest scores from the WHAC Preview Stroke play round plus the Spring Conference Championship. 

UNOH head coach Dawn West was honored as Coach of the Year for the fifth time after leading the Racers to the championship. Lawrence Tech head coach Scott Marzolino was voted as the league's Champions of Character Coach.

In addition to All-Conference, the league awarded All-Academic to juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA and in attendance at nominating school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team included on golfer from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
