2024 WHAC Women's Lacrosse Honors Announced

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced conference honors for the 2023-24 women's lacrosse season. First and Second Team All-Conference consist of 15 individuals per team (5 attackers, 4 midfielders, 5 defenders, 1 goalkeeper). Additional awards include: Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Midfield Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year,  Coach of the Year, Champion of Character Coach, Champion of Character Team and All-Academic. Awards are selected based on a vote of all WHAC women's lacrosse head coaches.

Sydney Robinson of Lawrence Tech repeats as the conference Offensive Player of the Year. The junior led the conference in points (83), goals (42), assists (41) and shots on goal (57). Alaina Smythe earned the Midfield Player of the Year award. Smythe was third in the conference in goals (27), and fourth in shots on goal (43). Jaisanna Jarvis was named the Defensive Player of the Year for her efforts in helping Lawrence Tech boast the lowest goals against average and fewest goals against in the nation. Brea Larrison earned Newcomer of the Year honors. The freshman was top-10 in the conference in points (29), goals (23), draw controls (31) and ground balls (2). 

Coaches selected Lawrence Tech's Emma Kuehl as the Coach of the Year. In Kuehl's first year at the helm, Lawrence Tech went undefeated in regular season play,earning its third consecutive WHAC title. The Champion of Character Coach award went to Jeremy Brown of Bethel. Brown serves as the Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Chair for the WHAC.

In addition to All-Conference awards, the WHAC also released its All-Academic and Champions of Character honors. The All-Academic Team consists of sophomores or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA who have been in attendance at their school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team is comprised of one player from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
