CU's Matamoros Named Women's Tennis All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) - Cornerstone's historic women's tennis season continued as the team saw its first-ever NAIA All-American named. Sophomore Ximena Matamoros was named to the 2023 NAIA Women's Tennis All-America Honorable Mention team. She was the lone Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) selected by the NAIA All-America Selection Committee. 

Matamoros posted a 9-2 record in singles while playing eight of those at the number one position. The WHAC Player of the Year was 7-5 in doubles play. Matamoros now holds several CU records including career wins, single seaason wins, career singles victories, and most combined victories in program history.
