2024 Women's Tennis All-Conference Honors Released

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its Women's Tennis Honors in advance of the league's tournament which begins tomorrow at Midland Tennis Center. 

University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) senior Alizee Ripolles was named the WHAC Player of the Year. Ripolles was 5-0 at first singles in WHAC play and is 17-5 on the season. The Perpignan, France native is currently ranked in the top-five nationally. The Newcomer of the Year award went to teammate Munisa Ashurbekova. Ashurbekova, a native of Uzbekistan, was 4-0 at third singles in conference play and 13-7 overall on the season. 

UNOH head coach Jeff Brown was voted by his peers as both the Coach of the Year after leading the Racers to a perfect 6-0 record and a regular season title. He was also named the Champion of Character Coach for his commitment to the NAIA five core values. 

In addition to All-Conference awards, the WHAC also released its All-Academic and Champions of Character honors. The All-Academic Team consists of sophomores or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA who have been in attendance at their school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team is comprised of one player from each school, nominated by their head coach, who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
