Season's First Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week

Faith Jackson of Siena Heights and Ashley Verplank of Cornerstone earned the season's first Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). Jackson picked up Track Athlete of the Week with a second-place time of 8.81 in the 60 meter hurdles at the Tiffin Open. Verplank took Field Athlete of the Week with a mark if 3.54m in the pole vault at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open.

(Jr. - Gary, Ind.) - Jackson had already hit the auto mark in the 60mh in last weekend's opening event. This week, she shortened her time from a previous high of 8.90 to her time this week of 8.81.
