Voyles and Fugate take Women's Indoor Weekly Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) named Lisa Voyles of Indiana Tech and Tyler Fugate of Siena Heights as its Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week. Voyles earned track honors as she won the 1K and finished third in the mile in a field of NCAA DI competitors at the Commodore Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University. Fugate took field honors after winning the pole vault at the SVSU Invitational with a height of 3.75m

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Lisa Voyles, Indiana Tech
(Jr., Danville, Ky.) -Won the 1K at the NCAA D1 event and finished 3rd in the mile while breaking the school record by 4 seconds. The previous record was set in 2008.
