Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week to Indiana Tech
Lisa Voyles and Juanita Webster-Freeman of Indiana Tech were honored as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week. Voyles repeated as Track Athlete of the Week as she broke the school record in the 800m and was a part of the school-record DMR team at the GVSU Big Meet. Webster-Freeman took Field Athlete of the Week with a career mark in the shotput to set a school record and at the top of the NAIA list.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lisa Voyles, Indiana Tech
(Jr, Danville, Ky.) - Voyles broke the school record for 800 with her mark of 2:08.21, sitting 2nd in NAIA, while her mile split in the DMR helped lead to another school record as well as the top mark in the NAIA at 11:51.65
