WHAC Athletes Qualify for NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) - The NAIA released the rosters for the 2023 Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships May 24-26 in Marion, Ind.

Indiana Tech has finished in the top two six out of the last 10 years - winning three of the last nine national titles (2013, 2014, and 2021) and finishing runner-ups in 2016, 2017, and 2022. 

Maggie Whitney of Aquinas has the seventh-best time of 2:10.99 in the 800m and teammate Hannah Adler has run a 17:19.00 to rank eighth in the 5000m.

Indiana Tech's 4x100m relay teams holds the top time in the event at 45.76 and its 4x400m relay team sits second with a time of 3:47.89. Lisa Voyles enters the 800m with the second-best time of 2:08.01 and Kiya Pogue's 13.74 is sixth in the 100m hurdles. Soyinne Grenyion has the seventh top time in the 400m (55.30) and Carlie Turner is also seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.90m.

Madonna's 4x100m relay team turned in the eighth-fastest time at 46.40 and Charity Jones' 54.98 is good enough for fifth in the 400m.

The WHAC looks to own the pole vault event with four ranked in the top eight. Tyler Fugate of Siena Heights holds the top mark of 3.95m with teammate Margherita Conrad right behind in second. Cornerstone's Ashley VerPlank comes in at the third spot also with a 3.95m mark. SHU's Erica Albrecth is fifth with a 3.90 heighth. SHU has two more vaulters in the ningth and 11th spots.
