Indiana Tech Sweeps Women's Track Athlete of the Week Awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's. 

WHAC SID's have selected  Jamaya Warthen (Indiana Tech) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Ryah DiGiacomo (Indiana Tech) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Warthen won three events and hit three NAIA A standards at the Oliver Nikoloff meet. She ran the 100m in 11.67, the 200m in 23.70 and the 4x100m in 45.02. Teammate Ryah DiGiacomo was the winner in the Javelin at the same event, with a first-place throw of 40.88m. The mark was an NAIA A standard as well as freshman and school record.

PCC Sports is affiliated with ASBA, FieldTurf, Beynon, and a member of Post-Tensioning Institute.
