Korte and Assenmacher wins weekly honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's. 

WHAC SID's have selected  Hanna Assenmacher (Lawrence Tech) as the Track Athlete of the Week and Lena Korte (Concordia) as the Field Athlete of the Week. Assenmacher won the 3000s at the Spartan Invite with a time of 11:17.25, good for an A standard. She also finished 2nd in the 1500 at the SAU Cougar Classic. Lena Korte won both the shot put and the hammer throw at the Bill Bippes Cougar Classic. Her 14.53m shot put was good for an A standard.

PCC Sports is affiliated with ASBA, FieldTurf, Beynon, and a member of Post-Tensioning Institute.

Jamaya Warthen (Indiana Tech) - Track Athlete of the Week 
Ryah DiGiacomo (Indiana Tech) - Field Athlete of the Week

4/8:
Hanna Assenmacher (Lawrence Tech) - Track Athlete of the Week
Lena Korte (Concordia) - Field Athlete of the Week
