Indiana Tech Wins WHAC Tournament Title

Fort Wayne, Ind. - (TOURNAMENT PAGE) - Indiana Tech lived up to the top-seed rank and swept #2 Aquinas in the WHAC tournament finals. The win marks the first WHAC tournament title for Indiana Tech since 2011 and fourth all-time.

It was nearly a perfect tournament for the Warriors who dropped their very first set played in the quarterfinals and then won nine-straight to win the tournament. In the championship match, Emma Westra paced the offensive attack with a team-high 11 kills followed by Taylor Paul with nine and WHAC Player of the Year Noelle VanOort with six. WHAC Setter of the Year Andrea Schriver had a 23 assist day while VanOort led the team with 14 digs. On the Aquinas side, Samee Teachworth was the lone Saint in double digits with 10 kills followed by Lauren Chioini with eight. Jordyn Carlyle had 11 digs. 

Indiana Tech secures both the regular season and tournament title and will be advancing to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round at a site to be determined. Aquinas will also qualify for Nationals as the runner-up.
