41 Women's Cross Country Runners Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (NAIA Release)The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athletes on Thursday. 41 runners from WHAC schools were honored. Siena Heights and Madonna led all WHAC schools with six runners on the list followed by Aquinas and UM-Deaborn who both had five. 37 total WHAC runners were named to the list a season ago.
The 2023 list features 626 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
