Cleary Sweep Hockey Player of the Week Awards

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Ice Hockey Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen Cleary's Tyler Krasofsky as the Defensive Player of the Week and teammate Wes Smith as the Offensive Player of the Week. Krasofsky posted a shutout in Friday's lopsided win over Eastern Michigan, making 20 saves. The shutout was his first of the season and second in his career. Teammate West Smith was stellar on the offensive end in the weekend sweep, totaling three goals and six assists. He scored one goal with three assists on Friday and two goals with three assists on Saturday.
