LTU's Tome, Cleary's Galloner win WHAC Weekly Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Ice Hockey Player of the Week Awards, presented by PCC Sports, earlier today. Student-athletes are nominated by their host institutions' sports information department and selected via a vote by conference SID's.

This week, the WHAC SIDs have chosen Brett Tome (Lawrence Tech) as the Defensive Player of the Week and Brendyn Galloner (Cleary) as the Offensive Player of the Week. Tome wins his third WHAC Defensive Player of the Week award thanks to a pair of stellar games against Aquinas in which he notched 53 saves. The sophomore had 30-saves in a road win and 23 in a home victory. Cleary's Galloner wins his first weekly honor for a four-goal, three-assist weekend of action. Cleary earned two lopsided wins over non-conference Eastern Michigan and Galloner recorded his first career hat-trick in the process.
