Indiana Tech's Covington Named NAIA 2nd Team All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (NAIA Release) Indiana Tech standout and 2024-25 WHAC Player of the Year, Taylor Covington, added another honor to her impressive campaign as she was named an NAIA 2nd Team All-American earlier today. This is the first time the junior guard has earned a spot on the All-American list. She does so after leading Indiana Tech to another trip to the round of 16 at the National Championship for the second consecutive season.

Covington started all 33 games for the Warriors, leading the team in scoring with an 16.5 points per game while shooting 38.7% from the field. She also averaged 3.9 rebounds, four assists and 1.5 steals per game. Indiana Tech finished the season with a 27-6 record and their seventh WHAC regular-season title in the last eight seasons.

Macy Sievers of Dordt (Iowa) was named the Player of the Year while Chris Nelson of Bethel (Tenn.) earned Coach of the Year honors.
