UNOH Wins Title on Final Day of Regular Season
University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) has been crowned the 2024 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular season champions. The Racers claimed their third title all-time and second in the last three seasons as they earned a sweep of Cleary in the final day of the regular season to push past second-place Concordia. Heading in to the final day of the regular season, Concordia and UNOH both had two games to play and each had a 23-6 record. Concordia split its doubleheader with Madonna and UNOH swept Cleary to earn the title.
Concordia finished in second place with a 24-7 record while Indiana Tech checked in at third with a 24-8 record (winning percentage is used to determine regular season standings). Lawrence Tech as fourth with a 21-11 record.
The WHAC tournament features the top eight teams and will take place in two pods at the site of the #1 and #2 seeds. UNOH will host #4 Lawrence Tech, #5 Madonna and #8 Lourdes while Concordia will host #3 Indiana Tech, #6 Aquinas and #7 Siena Heights. Host site play will take place May 1-3. Winners of each pod will play the championship on the campus of the highest remaining seed May 6-7.
